The total snowfall through this period was 55 cm, with the highest 24 hr snowfall of 18 cm ringing in our New Year. The total snowpack is now 176 cm and coverage is excellent. Our holiday crews found good skiing everywhere from Who Peak to Wishbone Ridge and Gash Trees to the Northface.

2009

November 24, 2009

Things are off to super start this season with a series of early season storms tripping over themselves as they offloaded piles of powder on the way through.  We’ve hardly had time to get out to sample the snowpack with all the deck and roof shoveling, but managed to sneak in some tasty turns today!  The snowpack just above lodge level (2200 m) is already at a plump 168 cm (5 1/2 ft).  Coverage is already excellent and the lower snowpack looks well-bonded - and did we mention the skiing is EXCELLENT!!!
